CALL FOR ENTRIES: espAfrika invites unsigned musicians to apply to perform at the 19th annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival
Cape Town, 14 September 2017 – Now in its third year, espYoungLegends continues to attract exceptional South African musical talent. The competition is aimed at providing a spot in the limelight for unsigned, jazz-inspired bands of two to six members, where the winner will perform at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2018, taking place on 23 and 24 March 2018. Past winners of the competition include Cape Town’s own Lana Crowster and Eastern Cape’s VuDu, who have both gone on to achieve entertainment excellence throughout South Africa and beyond.

Public voting for the Top 20 contenders will take place between, Tuesday 10 October and Monday 16 October 2017. Once the shortlist has been announced, public voting will get underway to select the next espYoungLegends titleholder - bookmark Tuesday 24 October 2017 to midnight on Monday 30 October 2017 to make your voice heard. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 31 October 2017 via social media and www.espafrika.com.
With the submission deadline looming, the heat is on to get applications in! Closing date is Friday 22 September 2017.
