Blood Feast Hosted By...

After arriving a bit  late I was quite glad to see the party still in full-swing, which always hints to it being an event worth attending.

Seeing as I had missed St.J playing, I was lucky enough to get a copy of the latest C.D. and a one-on-one with Frans in the dungeon (NO, not what you're thinking). Frans has been at the music thing for more years than many of us have been alive, yet is still rather approachable and not as dismissive as many other artists (not naming names here). His latest compilation IS indeed a Christian dedication of sorts, but thankfully is wholly instrumental, and had I not actually read the C.D. - jacket would have been none the wiser. In my opinion it's an almost witty fusion of old-rock and blues, with periodic jazzy undertones here and there. Some of the harder and more technical bits are quite tight and enjoyable, so, to quote Frans here "Go get the C.D., give it a listen, and if you get nothing out of it besides a decent musical experience, then so be it".

End interview, now to the mingling and finding the D.J. line-up.......

The eye-candy was as mouth-watering as one would expect at a dark and seductively themed event such as this, yet the Goths and sans were quite open and not as stand-offish as is commonplace. DJ Disturbed put on a great set and seemed to get everyone feeling the mood.  And on it went, darkly seductive figures writhing to the sounds of some of the choicer Goth, Industrial and E.B.M. tracks out there today.

Overall, a very pleasant after evening if you enjoy the more down-played, grown-up, non-scenery type of party.

Regards, Gavynn Synn
