WARNING THIS ARTICLE MAY OR MAY NOT OFFEND YOU!!!Introducing...
WOLVENHORDE The twin brothers in creating the most righteous yet most daring music. That few have the guts to make, or delve that deep into. A hellish, devillish, blasphemous nightmare hailing from Pretoria. Introduce Draugar -- Blasphemies and Wolven Howls/Black Axe Of Xul... Maleficia -- Incantation Battery... As per their Myspace Bio:
"Wolvenhorde is the manifestation of Hatred for conservative thought, for christ and his weak followers of the slave morality and for those on this Earth unworthy who's seas are shallow... Weary of the lack of true filth, violence and sick demented hatred in the South African metal scene, Maleficia and Draugar joined together in a black pursuit to express their rage and disgust in society and to actualize the truth of Lucifer and the Black Goat within themselves... We are the lone wolves, the strong and true and wise ones... although we are 2, we are horde!!! Hail Satan! Hail Lucifer! Hail Nuit! Hail Hadit! Hail Horus! "

1. Well I don't think I could simply list a general genre to describe their music, I'd say that they follow in the vein of the 2nd wave of Black Metal prevalent in Norway but, while their music is intensly brutal, they put a lot of focus on atmosphere and interesting song structure as well as outright brutality which I really enjoy. If I had to liken them to another band I'd say Emperor, not because of how they sound but more because of how they do things differently compared to other Black Metal Bands. I would say they achieve they asthetic quite accurately and I must admitt I like the fact that they don't wear corpse paint, I've never really been the biggest fan of it myself. I like the inteserting take they have on traditional ideas in Black Metal and their lyrics and concepts stay true to those ideas. as for their music, please see the answer to the first question
2. Interesting, Intelligent, Aggressive
3. I definately would in fact I plan to turn the black death gig and turn it into a tour and I'd love for them to be on it 5. I would say so, music isn't really a matter of age through their music, despite those facts, makes them much needed in our music scene. I do believe that they'll make a big impact in the underground scene, cause there is alot of potential. Just give them a fair chance and see what happens. Dean Bile of Man 1. Dark coagulation The gig of the 11th was the first time I actually got time to pay full attention to them. And I must say, I was impressed. To attempt to take the stage with a front man on guitar and a drummer seems like a pipe dream. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the power they portrayed. 2. Beats, brutality, Ba'alzebûb 3. Fuck yes! 4. Brilliant. Can't wait to see them grow the concept. Selfmoord ![]() 1. Wolvenhorde: i'd describe them as a fresh breed of the blackend death/brutal death genre, and they're quite clear to where they want to go both musically and as a band.
2. If i had to describe them in three words, it would probably be "brutal and blasphemous". 3. Yes, I'd do a song with them as an guest artist. Perhaps a nice black track? 4. Well, Wolvenhorde is only a 2 piece band, consisting of Deon Bakkes(vocals and guitar) and Johandre Venter (drums), who are both young guys. The power and brutallity they release Anton from VERKRAG 1. The Black Metal feel and sound has always been raw and brutal and never overproduced, however I feel that some better production here is a must because the music is lost in noise. They have some great riffs and it's a pity that the cymbals overpower the guitars and vocals. Besides the terrible recording quality I like what I hear. Some great blasting in there! I also like the song structures of the tracks 'Of Wolven' & 'Law of the Black Seed'. 2. 'RAW', & 2.'BRUTAL', yet... 3.'UNEVOLVED'. 3. I have never played with them before. I don't do live performances since I am in a solo recording project, but if they ever want to do a collaboration with me they are welcome to mail some tracks. 4. Age should not be a factor. Look at the guys in the Norwegian Black Metal scene in the 90's for example. Even as very young musicians they made legendary albums. So yeah, age should never be an excuse.
