In The Spotlight - FRANCOIS VAN COKE In The Spotlight

The SA Artist Spotlight is a celebration of South African arts and aims to recognise the incredible talent we have in this country!

In this episode the spotlight is on a remarkable artist whose album and first single reached No.1 on the 947/KFM CocaColaTop40SA charts on its first day of release. He is also the first Afrikaans artist to appear on the show. His colab track with the queen of Afrikaans rock, Karen Zoid quickly reached Platinum status on iTunes and their music video for 'Toe Vind Ek Jou has' been watched by over a million viewers on YouTube. 

It was a great privilege to get to know this local music legend and to introduce him to The SA Artist Spotlight viewers. 

Francois van Coke – Afrikaans rock pioneer and the start of a music scene revolution, shares with Nick Darke the nature of launching his solo career, the incredible success it brought, what beer has to do with it and much more!
