With just two short days to go until the 30th edition of South Africa’s longest running festival kicks off in rolling foothills of the Southern Drakensberg mountains… festival organisers have just announced that Splashy Fen Music Festival has sold out!
8 000 happy campers will come together to enjoy over 100 acts across 5 unique stage areas, in what has been dubbed South Africa’s friendliest festival. While online sales are now closed for the 2019 edition of the iconic festival, day visitors are welcome at Splashy Fen.
SPLASHY FEN DAY PASS:
A day pass includes an overnight pass to the festival and allows fans to set up camp for one night. They will be required to pay the full price of R900 cash at the festival gate ONLY - for a gate festival pass on arrival and will be issued with a receipt and be required to leave the site by 10h00 the next morning.
On departure, fans will need to present their receipts to the gate control team and will receive a refund based on the pricing for the day that was attended. Day visitors not intending to stay the night will be provided with secure day visitor’s parking space.
The following day rates apply; R300 for Thursday, and R450 for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday events, respectively. Parents purchasing for their kids aged between 8-12 can look to pay R100 per day, and R20 per day for kids U8.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
“We’ve been on site for months now, ensuring that Splashy Fenners get to enjoy the quality that they’ve come to know and love from the festival”, says Stu Berry, Festival Director. “And now, Splashy Week is finally upon us and we’re ready! Not only are we South Africa’s friendliest festival, but we really try to encourage participation and interaction among festival goers too. We are proud to be able to offer a long list of entertainment and activities for fans over the Easter long weekend – and this year will be no different. From yoga to belly dancing, drumming workshops, trail running, fishing, face painting, wild and wacky fashion shows, art and music from all genres, including a silent disco with the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s… there really is something for every kind of fan, of every age, race, culture and gender. We are so excited to welcome 8 000 people to our 30th birthday celebration!”
