Legendary Chris de Burgh returns to SA with ‘A Better World’ tour
International singer sensation, Chris de Burgh, is no stranger to South Africans, who have a chance to see this incredible musician live in Cape Town again, at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on 28 February 2018.
Although 'Lady in Red' is his best-known song, Chris de Burgh has had numerous smash hits, including 'Spanish Train', 'Just Another Poor Boy', 'Patricia the Stripper', 'High on Emotion' and many more.
“South Africans just love this remarkable artist whose international career has spanned more than three decades,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest. “His latest show marks 25 years since Chris de Burgh first toured South Africa to celebrate the lifting of the cultural boycott. Since then he has toured South Africa eight times, selling in excess of half a million tickets to his fantastic shows. We are so excited about hosting him at GrandWest.”
The Better World tour is a melting pot of diverse styles, tempos and instrumentation. He plays ballads alongside anthems, solo performances with band and orchestral ensemble pieces. Throughout, Chris’s unmistakable voice is powerfully clear and passionately sensitive. This is a concert not to be missed.
Chris de Burgh is performing at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on 28 February 2018. Tickets priced between R405 and R745 are on sale from Computicket and bigconcerts.co.za. The show starts at 20h00, doors open at 19h00.
