Today sees the release of a brand new single entitled TABLE MANNERS from indie psychedelic pop band, THE PLASTICS.
“Forget your table manners and your frown.”
Written in 2014, the song gives an insight into some of the new sounds of the band’s soon to be released third album, ‘In Threes’.
"TABLE MANNERS are man made and rigid, whereas this song is free and lucid and all about exploring and listening. It is about escaping the noise of modern life and opening your eyes, mind and ears to everything around you. It is as much about forgetting as it is about discovery.” - Pascal Righini.
Produced by THE PLASTICS, TABLE MANNERS was tracked at Digital Forest in Constantia, Cape Town and Open Room Studios in Johannesburg, with mixing taking place at Popsicle Studios in Cape Town. The new release introduces more lush production yet, maintaining THE PLASTICS’ signature style: Lyrically driven, an extremely catchy chorus and a tight Rhythm section layered with textural guitar sounds. TABLE MANNERS is slightly funkier than previous tracks by the band; it is a party song that lyrically includes some of the main themes used throughout the new album.
