Formed in Johannesburg in 2019 This Summer is an alternative electronic musical collaboration between a singer/songwriter/guitarist, producer/bassist/drummer, and an indie producer. ‘Shadows’, the third single from their upcoming album Wonderland is a collection of dreamy melancholic vocals set to an apocalyptic post-punk soundscape.

Watch the lyric video for ‘Shadows’ below!

“Shadows is a Radiohead-tier downer anthem based on the dreams of nuclear war I've had since I was a kid. It's about the sense of inevitability once the bombs start dropping, and the complete freedom that would be available in the short time available before annihilation, where all your cares don't matter anymore. A soundtrack to the apocalypse.” – comments founder, songwriter and vocalist Sven.
