The David Gresham Entertainment Group is proud to announce that South African EDM hit maker DJ Mark Stent & Hip Hop chart topper Rouge have collaborated to perform and produce the summer smash hit single 'Takeover' due for release on David Gresham Records on 28 October 2016.

Mark Stent often referred to as the world’s strongest DJ is riding high after two number 1 hit singles on the national 5FM pop charts, namely 'Rain' and 'Come back home (4 weeks at number 1)'.  Whilst Rouge the self-proclaimed baddest female rapper has enjoyed similar success across Africa with her singles 'Mbongo Zaka' and 'Sheba Ngwan O'.
The recording is a tumultuous journey into EDM & Hip Hop, with Rouge’s angry rap and Mark Stent’s euphoric summer beats. Takeover is destined to be one of the biggest dance records across the African continent in 2016 as well as making a massive statement when presented at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October.

South African DJ, producer, remixer and self-confessed music lover Mark Stent’s passion for his craft is plainly evident from every energy-fueled, funked up DJ set he delivers to his dancefloor. Hailing from the City of Gold, Mark’s love affair with house music began in his early teens and led to a still insatiable obsession with the art of mixing and blending beats. Having performed in 15 countries around the world Stent is also a main stage headliner at the Ultra Music Festival and a resident DJ at H2O and Octopia Music Festivals. Not only is Stent a chart-topping producer/DJ but his also a former SA Bodybuilding champion and has a BSC degree in actuarial science.

Rouge was inspired as a child by Lauryn Hill and Kanye West, her compositions combine elements of rap, dance, and hip-hop. Rouges’ tremendous vocal execution and punch lines has made her an instant favorite at both radio stations and on the stage. Although she only wrote her first song at the age of 19, Rouge had been taking part in acting, public speaking and poetry, not knowing she was preparing herself for what was to come. Rouge graduated with a degree in Drama at the University of Pretoria. Rouge incorporates some French in her lyrics because of her Congolese origins.
