The first season of The Voice of South Africa was a huge success with RICHARD STIRTON hitting #1 and #2 on iTunes with the releases of his covers, ‘The Sound of Silence’ and ‘Billie Jean’, re-taking the top spot with his debut single, ‘What Tears Me The Most’ (penned by Brit Awarding winning artist James Bay). RICHARD outsold the new Drake single at the time for close to two weeks and has captured the nation’s hearts with his substance and authenticity as an artist.
With the release of his debut album, MIDDLE GROUND on 7th October 2016, it rocketed off from the get go, with the album hitting the #1 spot on iTunes in a matter of hours and holding onto the top position for an extended period of time.
RICHARD was also recently chosen as the #1 VOICE CHOICE artist worldwide - an international title from The Voice Talpa head office; a panel chose the top 23 winners of The Voice internationally and RICHARD made it to #1.
February 2017 also saw the release of a brand new single and video from RICHARD, entitled 'Call It Luck.' Watch it below!
