Johannesburg, 31 August 2026: A new final trailer has arrived for Heart of the Beast, giving audiences a closer look at Brad Pitt’s latest adventure thriller and the perilous struggle awaiting him in the Alaskan wilderness. Pitt plays a special forces officer alongside Odin, his military dog and trusted companion, with their relationship forming the emotional core of the story. For animal lovers, that bond could prove to be one of the film’s biggest draws.

Heart of the Beast will be released in cinemas nationwide in South Africa on 24 September 2026.

In the film, after a harrowing plane crash, special forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his military dog, Odin, find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they are forced into a fight for survival against the elements, with the film exploring the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet.

The film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer, whose credits include Fury, End of Watch, and The Beekeeper, from a screenplay by Cameron Alexander.

Alongside Pitt, the cast includes J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. Heart of the Beast is produced by Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, David Ayer and Brad Pitt, with Damien Chazelle among the film’s executive producers.
