Johannesburg, 28 August 2025 – Murder in a Small Town will make its Universal TV (DStv 117) debut on 2 September at 20:00, with new episodes airing every Tuesday until the season finale on 21 October 2025.

The series features a stellar cast, including Rossif Sutherland (The Handmaid’s Tale, Catastrophe), Kristin Kreuk (Beauty and the Beast, Smallville), Marcia Gay Harden (The Morning Show), James Cromwell (Succession, The West Wing), Stana Katic (Castle, Absentia), Savonna Spracklin (Departure, Yellowstone), Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica, Smallville), and Fritzy-Klevans Destine (Superman and Lois, Riverdale).

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of North America’s Pacific coastline, Murder in a Small Town reimagines the police procedural, blending mystery and suspense. Adapted from L.R. Wright’s internationally acclaimed detective novels, the drama follows Karl Alberg, a former big-city investigator whose pursuit of serenity in a coastal town is disrupted by a series of shocking murders. As secrets surface, Alberg must rely on his world-class detective skills to solve crimes in this seemingly idyllic setting.
